Frequently Asked Questions
What is AED?
Our Mission Statement: "Alpha Epsilon Delta is the National Health Pre-professional Honor Society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in pre-professional health scholarship, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary, and others. The Society welcomes ALL students engaged in the pursuit of a professional healthcare career. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit the college/university community."
What is the difference between National and Inducted Membership?
An associate member is one who is not a national member, rather only a member of our school's local chapter of AED. To be at least an associate member you must earn points through community service, GBMs, and other organization events throughout the semester. In order to become a national member you must have already completed at least three (3) semesters and have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher.
If you still have questions that remain unanswered, feel free to email the E-Board or contact us through instagram (@templeaed).
